Two persons assaulted
Two persons were injured in separate cases of assault that took place in different parts of the city on Wednesday, the police said. In the first incident, one Babyben Chitabhai Rajput, a resident of Madanjhapa Road, was allegedly hit by a brick by one Mahendra Chitabhai Parmar, as she did not comply with the accused's demand to pay him Rs 5,000. In the other incident, two persons assaulted one Burhanuddin Husseinbhai Attarwala of Lalwada Mohalla, behind Jamunabai Hospital, with sticks and leather belts.

Case registered
One Ranjanben Lallubhai Karsanbhai Parmar's daughter, a resident of Bakrawadi area, complained to the police that one Manohar Babubhai Chunara, a resident of Baranpura Chunarawas, tried to snatch her gold chain on Wednesday. The Navapura police have registered a case and are investigating.
