India beat Australia India defeated Australia by 44 runs to reach the semifinals of the Wills International Cup cricket tournament at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka tonight. Chasing India's mammoth total of 307 for eight, Australia were bowled out for 263 in 48.1 overs thanks to an all-round display by Sachin Tendulkar, who grabbed four wickets for 38 runs after hitting up a masterful 141 earlier in the evening.Match fixing Veteran Pakistan batsmen Salim Malik and Ijaz Ahmed are likely to be indicted by the one-man probe panel of Justice Mohammad Malik Qayoom appointed by the Pakistan Cricket Board to investigate betting and match-fixing allegations, according to a PCB source. The report is expected by mid-November but indications are that enough evidence against the two has been collected by Justice Qayoom. Sandeep survives Eighth seeded Sandeep Kirtane survived a stormy encounter with Greek Niko Karagiannis before moving into the q-finals of the Wearhouse Satellite tennis tournament at the Century Club courts in Bangalore on Wednesday.
