MUMBAI, Oct 29: Ajay Pal Singh of Sports Authority of India (SAI), Pune won the under-17 boys all round competition at the conclusion of first qualifying round in the State Inter-School Gymnastics Championship organised by the Maharashtra Amateur Gymnastics Association at the Andheri Sports Complex today.His city mate Jaydeep Shrama and Amuthoi Singh won the second and third position respectively by securing 46.35 and 47.30 points.
The SAI trainee coached by Deepak Shirke performed so well not they did not allow any other competitors to win any other individual events also.
Ajay dominated the individual events also as he won the Roman Rings and was second in the apparatus.
In the girls category, Pallavi Chemburkar of Mumbai won the All round Open championship with 47.15 points while Amruta Joglekar of Pune has to settle with second position with 46.95. Amruta Joshi also of Mumbai came third with 46.15. But Pallavi also won the rope and hoop individual championship while Amruta Joshi won the ball andribbon events.
