Talati's transfer orders stayed

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
VADODARA, Oct 29: Civil Judge (Senior Division) P U Patel on Tuesday stayed the transfer of Atladra Talati Purushottam Vankar, who had been posted there 19 months ago against a vacant post.

In his petition, the complainant had alleged that the transfer was malafide and done on recommendation of the political bosses of the ruling party as he had annoyed one of their relatives by not allowing illegal construction work.

According to the petition, Sanjiv Dighe, an industrialist and a close relative of BJP national president Kushabhau Thakre, had carried out an illegal construction in his factory at Atladra. Vankar stopped the construction as the plan was not approved by the concerned authorities.

The petition further said that District Development Officer Anju Sharma abruptly transferred him immediately after the incident.
