Indira Open Marathon on November 19

CHANDIGARH, Oct 29: The 14th All-India Prize Money Indira Marathon for men and women on November 19 at Allahabad. According to Ravinder Chaudhary, secretary of the Chandigarh Amateur Athletic Association, the winner of the 42.195 km race in both groups will get a cash award of Rs 51,000 each. The runner-up will get Rs 25,000 while the third place holder will receive Rs 10,000.

According to information received by Chandigarh Amateur Athletic Association, 11 consolation prizes of Rs 2,500 in each group will also be distributed. The race will begin at 6.30 a.m. from Anand Bhawan and terminate at Madan Mohan Malviya Stadium passing through different routes of the city.

The first edition of the race was held in 1985. The event is held under the aegis of Uttar Pradesh Sports Directorate.
