HYDERABAD, OCT 30: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has expressed anguish over the delay in the release of the promised Central assistance of Rs 200 crore for the flood-hit State. In the memorandum submitted to the Central team, which called on the Chief Minister yesterday, the State Government has put the loss on account of floods at Rs 2,525 crore as against the preliminary assessment of Rs 2,235 crore.
The Chief Minister is understood to have termed as unfortunate the controversy over whether the Central release would be a grant or merely an advance.
``Prime Minister had then told me that the second installment of assistance would be given after the visit of the Central team. You have already come here but even the first installment has not come.''
