Kidnapper duo arrested

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
MUMBAI, November 1: Crime branch sleuths and a team attached to the Bandra police station arrested two persons who had kidnapped an eight-year-old boy and demanded a ransom of Rs 40 lakh from his father for his release.

Hotelier Nasim Ullah Kureshi, who owns Yaadgar Hotel in Bandra, had lodged a complaint that his son Arbaz had gone missing on October 28.

According to the Bandra police, on Sunday morning, Kureshi received a call from some unknown persons asking him to reach a spot near Gazdarban in Santacruz (west) with Rs 40 lakh as the ransom amount. Nasim promptly informed the Bandra police, who went to the spot with a crack police team and nabbed the kidnappers. They have been identified as Kallu Sheikh (19) and Shakil Azmi (22).
