CHANDIGARH, Nov 1: Jaspreet Singh and Babita claimed first positions in the boys and girls category in the 8 to 14 and 8 to 12 years age groups respectively in the Chandigarh open yoga championship held under the aegis of Chandigarh Amateur Yoga Association (CAYA) at Sector 23 Government Yoga Centre. In the same age groups, the team titles went to Air Force Regional School, Chandigarh and Government Girls High School-25.In the men's 30 to 50 years age group, the participants lodged a written protest with the CAYA and alleged that the judges were biased in their decision. No results were declared in the above category by the organisers.
Results: Individual: Girls: 8 to 12 yrs: 1 Babita, 2 Anita, 3 Manju. 12 to 18 yrs: 1 Shalu Arora, 2 Amrita, 3 Meenakshi. 18 to 15 yrs: 1 Priyanka, 2 Rajbinder, 3 Neena. 25 to 40 yrs: 1 Komal, 2 Shashi. Above 40 yrs: 1 Shashi, 2 Roma, 3 Sudesh.
Team: Girls: 8 to 12 yrs: 1 Govt Girls High School-25, 2 DAV Public School, Surajpur, 3 DAV Public School, Parwanoo. 12 to 18 yrs: 1 Govt Girls High School-25, 2 Govt Girls School-8, 3 Govt Girls School-8. 18 to 25 yrs: 1 MCM DAV-36, 2 Govt Girls College-11, 2 Govt Girls College-11.
Individual: Boys: 8 to 14 yrs: 1 Jaspreet Singh, 2 Vikas, 3 Sukhdev. 14 to 20 yrs: 1 Paras Arora, 2 Puneet Juneja, 3 Arun Kumar. 20 to 30 yrs: 1 Rahul, 2 Kamal, 3 Raman. Above 50 yrs: 1 Hardeep Singh, 2 M.L. Juneja, 3 Karam Inder Pal Chadha.
Boys: Team: 8 to 14 yrs: 1 AF Regional School, Chandigarh. 2 Govt Girls High School-25.
