In the first semifinal played at National Stadium here today, Army Boys Sports Company upset favourites Birsamunda Vidyapitha (Rourkela) 5-1.

The final will be played at 3.15 pm on Monday.

Lyallpur Khalsa School, who had chalked out three successive wins by huge margins in the quartefinal league, were surprised by the Sonepat school.

Earlier, Army Boys Sports Company, put behind their 2-5 rout suffered at the hands of Lyallpur School yesterday and played a fast game.

In a match which witnessed both teams playing the same style of game, identical tactics and strategies, the score at half time was 1-1.Gabriel Herenj put Danapur ahead in the 12th minute, scoring off a penalty corner. Birsamunda equalised in the very next minute with a furious counter and Mangra Minz sent the ball home.
