VADODARA, Nov 4: Senior BJP leaders, including Civil Supplies Minister Jaspal Singh, were heckled by a group of youngsters during their participation in the wedding procession of Lord Narsinhiji here on Wednesday.The annual procession, which culminates in the symbolic marriage of Lord Narsinhji and Goddess Tulsi, might have had passed off peacefully, but for the youngsters, who raised slogans that they wanted a Congress government.
According to by-standers, the leaders had no answer when questioned as to why had the government failed to check spiralling prices of onions and potatoes.
Deputy Mayor Dinesh Chokshi, Standing Committee chairman N V Patel, Municipal School Board chairman Kishan Sheth and Bharatiya Janata Party councillor Yogendra Sukhadia had to face questions, nea r the Dala Patel's pol.
One of the BJP leaders confirmed that they were questioned and the youngsters had raised slogans.
According to information, there is a ritual, where residents of the area ask the present leaders three to four questions. Residents also ask the band accompanying the procession to play three songs.
