BANGKOK, Nov 5: India Beat Bangladesh 2-0 with both goals scored in the first half to win a four-nations men's hockey tournament here today.India scored from Mohammed Riaz in the 23rd minute while Kamal Horo assisted in the 25th minutes.
In the contest for third place Uzbekistan beat Thailand 2-1 after drawing 1-1 at half time.
Uzbekistan scored through Lael Aslive in the 24th minute and A Melekesov in the 55th minute. Thailand scored through T Thipkongka in the 27th
minute.
Hockey team likely by Nov 6
CHENNAI: The Indian hockey team to play against Sri Lanka was likely to be announced here on November 6 or 7 depending on the availability of selectors', according to C R Kumar, chief coach, Indian Hockey Development team.
