Two assault cases registered The city police have registered a case of rioting against three people, Kishor, Basant and Kamlesh, all residents of Kishanwadi, for allegedly assaulting one Rakeshbhai Chandrakantbhai Sanjekar from the same area on Thursday morning. According to the police, Sanjekar was standing near the Saurashtra Milk Dairy, in Varasia area, when the three attacked him with sticks and steel rods over a trivial issue. In another incident, Lalabhai Mohanbhai Machchi, a resident of Gayatri Nagar behind RTO office in Varasia, was injured when some people beat him up in Mangal Bazar area with wooden clubs. The police are looking for accused in both the cases.Woman missing A 24-year-old woman Nimishben Natwarlal Soni, a resident of Anand, who had come to the city to vist her grandparents, residing at Ratikunj Society on Waghodia Road, was missing since Wednesday afternoon, the police said. According to the police, though the woman left the house between 1.30 and 2 pm to visit her sister in Abhilasha Society on Sama Road, she never returned. The Panigate police have registered a case and are investigating. Liquor seized The city police on Thursday seized 24 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor worth Rs 3,600 and 10 litres of country liquor worth Rs 200 and registered seven cases under the Prohibition Act.
