NAGPUR, NOV 6: President of State Youth Congress Anees Ahmed along with weavers and Congress workers will hold a two-day dharna programme beginning November 9 in wake of the proposed meeting of the state cabinet in the city on November 10.During the two-day dharna, problems of the weavers, delayed extension of Mayo Hospital and the rise in prices of essential commodities would be highlighted.
A press release issued by Ahmed said the dharna was aimed at making the State Government aware of the long pending issues of the city.
Terming the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party-Shiv Sena alliance government anti-public, Ahmed said that the joblessness among weavers had reached an alarming proportion.
The sick weavers cooperative and the failure of the State Government to provide work to the weavers was one of the reasons for the hopeless state of the community.
