SD School-32 clinch trophy in boys u-19

CHANDIGARH, Nov 6: SD School-32 beat DAV School-8, 5-4 in the tie-breaker to lift the title in the under-19 boys Chandigarh State Inter-School under-19 boys football tournament held at Govt Model School-23. Both the teams were 1-1 each in the regulation period. In the extra time the teams failed to score the golden goal. In the tie-breaker, Jatinder, Ankur, Pushpinder and Sachin converted for SD-32 while Nainder Pal, Kartikay and Ashish scored for the opposing team.

Earlier, Ravinder Kundu netted for DAV-8 in the 7th minute while Jadeep sent an equaliser in the 48th minute.

Neeraj of Shivalik Public School-41 scored the third hat-trick of the meet as his team thrashed Sanjay Public School-44 by 5-0 to win the third position.

Neeraj scored in the 5th, 14th and 27th minute. Gurpreet (40th) and Rajbir (51st) scored one each for the winners.
