Zimbabwean juggernaut topples Lanka
Watch out for Murray Goodwin. The Zimbabwean right hand batsman is a potential star in the making. On Saturday in front of a largely empty Sharjah stadium, Goodwin made a mockery of the Sri Lankan bowling attack with a hard-struck half century that helped Zimbabwe register a facile seven-wicket victory. The result also placed world champions Sri Lanka in danger of losing out a berth in the final.

Geet Sethi found his touch and delighted with a scintillating effort to defeat former National champion Alok Kumar 5-2 and move into the semi-finals of the 2nd S Chand-Jaypee International Snooker Tournament at the Residency Manor on Saturday.

IOA announces list of 19 disciplines for Bangkok
The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has announced a list of 19 disciplines for the Bangkok Asian Games to be held from December 6 to 21, but omitted volleyball and women's football from among those in the reckoning.
