Two cases of theft
In two cases of theft registered by the police, goods worth Rs 7,400 were stolen from different parts of the city. According to the police, clothes worth Rs 1,400 were stolen from a house in Tarsali area and music system from a Maruti car in Chandranagar Society, behind Nazarbaug, on Sunday night.

Criminals held
The Detection of Crime Branch sleuths have arrested two criminals, one Zardullahkhan alias Rajukhan Pathan, a resident of Kishan Nagar on Dabhoi Road, and Nisarkhan Kallukhan Pathan, a resident of Chisthtia Nagar, near Chhani octroi post, involved in a number of serious offences. According to the police, the duo had called up a businessman, Natwarlal P Patel, two years ago for a ransom of Rs 1 crore and threatened to kidnap him if he defaulted.
