Goyal's plea returned

CHANDIGARH, Nov 11: The BJP national disciplinary committee while returning the appeal of BJP municipal councillor Om Parkash Goyal for revoking his expulsion from the party, has advised him to appear before the local BJP leadership for the same.President of BJP national disciplinary committee, Jagdish Prasad Mishra, has suggested to Goyal that initially the state-level should be approached and if not satisfied, the appeal should then be presented before the national disciplinary committee.

In case there was no local-level disciplinary committee, any grievance could not be referred directly to the national disciplinary committee, he clarified.

Goyal had sent his appeal directly to the national disciplinary committee since there was no such local-level committee then. Goyal had been expelled by the local party president Dharam Paul Gupta, for violating party discipline.
