Eight villagers threaten jeweller

VADODARA, Nov 11: The Wadi police are on the look out for eight villagers of Vara village, Kheda district, who allegedly slapped and threatened to kill one Arun Kumar Sukhdev Pandit, a jeweller, on Sunday. Pandit had apparently angered one Purshottam Chotelal Patel by filing a court case when Patel did not return him the Rs 1.5 lakhs he had borrowed against promissory notes a year ago. A case has been registered under Sections 452, 143, 144, 147, 148 and 506 of the IPC has been registered against all those involved in the act.Copyright © 1998 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
