Fitting reply to Congress manifesto four days late
EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, November 12: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be releasing its manifesto for the November 25 Delhi Assembly elections four days behind schedule.Unit chief Mange Ram Garg and campaign committee chairman Vijay Kumar Malhotra announced that the manifesto will ``give a fitting reply to the Congress manifesto'' which ``is full of false promises''. Calling the Congress manifesto lacklustre, Malhotra said the people who butchered helpless Sikhs in 1984 riots are now masterminding the Congress campaign and they expect the people to believe their intentions. ``By drawing a comparison of the 1984 riots with the Partition tragedy Sonia Gandhi wants to rub salt on old wounds. She is unfamiliar with the history of the country that is whhy she making such cruel comparison,'' Malhotra said. Copyright © 1998 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
