Rickshaw-puller, woman arrested for soliciting

CHANDIGARH, Nov 12: The CIA staff of the City police have arrested a 25-year-old woman resident of Burail village, who hails from Sonepat, and a rickshaw-puller on the charges of soliciting on the road leading from the Industrial Area to the ISBT in Sector 17. The woman and the rickshaw-puller, Madho Prasad, a resident of the Sector 31 Labour Colony, were arrested by a CIA team led by DSP (Detective) Daya Nand and Inspector K.I.P. Singh, in-charge of the CIA, this afternoon, police claimed."A decoy customer struck a deal with the rickshaw-puller on her behalf for Rs 400. She accepted the money and we caught the two in Sector 21," an official said. The official said the woman would go around on the rickshaw on the road leading from the Industrial Area to the bus stand. "This had been going on for eight months," he said.
