District Collector Anil Mukim has asked the District Supply Office to attach the land belonging to the two managers of Shubham Petrol Pump, Padra, where various irregularities had been detected during an inspection on July 26. According to a spokesman, the decision was taken on Wednesday as the pump managers, Bhupatsinh Mangrola and Manubhai Patel, did not respond to DSO's queries despite reminders. ``If the two accused again fail to respond to the DSO within the next 30 days, their land will be auctioned,'' he added.

Poll observers
Senior Indian Administrative Services officers Ajit Kumar and Inder Raj Soni have been deputed as the election observers for Bharuch Lok Sabha by-election scheduled to be held on November 25. While Kumar will examine the expenditure on electioneering by the candidates and their respective parties, Soni will be the general election observer. Both the officers have arrived in Bharuch.
