CHANDIGARH, Nov 12: A Local businessman was killed in a car crash on the road dividing Sectors 37 and 38 around 12.15 a.m. today.According to police sources, Vipin Kumar, who owns a tent house in Sector 19, was returning home when the accident occurred near the Fire Station in Sector 38.
Vipin, police sources said, was alone in the white Maruti car (CH-01-R-2133) and was heading from Sector 40 towards Sector 24 after dropping a friend.
"After he crossed the small roundabout connecting Sectors 37 and 38, the car jumped the divider and hit a tree trunk, turning turtle. As a result, he sustained severe head injuries. We took him to the Sector 16 General Hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead," a police official told Newsline.
