VADODARA, Nov 12: A large number of representatives of milk mandalis associated with the Baroda Dairy will meet on Friday to discuss protest measures against the Dairy plan to reduce the rate of fat supplied with effect from November 1.The meeting has been convened by Dairy director K T Amin, who also heads the Darapura milk mandali in Padra taluka. Presidents and secretaries of the mandalis are expected to attend the meeting at Kamubala Hall, near Gendigate Darwaja.
In a statement on Thursday, Amin said milk producers were incurring a huge loss as the Dairy had reduced the rate for the fat per kg by Rs 6. He said it was strange that the Dairy had not increased rates of milk producers though it had increased rates of milk and other related produces by 40 per cent.
