Pakistani arrested for posing as an Indian
A pakistani national was arrested by the special cell of the Delhi Police for ``indulging in unlawful activities and impersonating an Indian national''. Based on specific information, a team of officers from the Special Cell arrested 40-year-old Mohammed Babar Khan, apparently a resident of Nazibabad in Karachi. A case under the Foreigners Act has been registered in the Daryaganj Police Station.

Officials were aware of the fact that a Pakistani national was staying in the Jama Masjid area. On November 11, they received information that Khan would be meeting an associate at Golcha cinema in Daryaganj.

During interrogation, Khan reportedly admitted to being involved in petty smuggling. To establish a base in India, Khan is said to have married Samar Jaan, a resident of Chandni Chowk. He also managed to get a ration card and electoral card in his name. Apart from the two cards, the police have also recovered a Pakistani passport issued in his name.

9-yr-old raped
A nine-year-old girl was raped allegedly by her uncle on Thursday in the Kotwali area of Ghaziabad. According to the police, the victim was alone at home, when her uncle Sanjay came visiting. Sanjay allegedly fled the scene of the crime after the victim started crying. The girl's mother has named Sanjay in the FIR.

Two arrested for cheating
Two persons were arrested by the Inderpuri police officials on Wednesday on charges of cheating. Sheikh Yakoob alias Manoj Sharma and Manzoor Alam were held for duping a doctor. Yakoob had apparently convinced Dr Asha Devi that he would double her money around four years ago. Giving her a small demonstration of his skills, Yakoob convinced Asha Devi to part with Rs 3 lakh. Once Yakoob was in possession of the money, he disappeared. The duo are also said to have duped a resident each of Hauz Khas and Rajinder Nagar.
