CBI court extends remand of Laloo and Mishra
The CBI designated court has extended by another two weeks, the judicial remand of former Bihar Chief Ministers Laloo Prasad Yadav and Jagannath Mishra in a conspiracy angle case of the multicrore fodder scam.

Congress promises prohibition in MP
The Congress has gone in for an odd promise in one of its manifestoes for the four states going to polls: prohibition in Madhya Pradesh at a time when the policy failed in Andhra Pradesh and Haryana forcing a reversal in both states. A whole page of the Congress's 88-page manifesto for MP is devoted to prohibition.

Karnataka crisis resolved, pinpricks remain
J H Patel has come out unscathed and victorious, proving that he is a seasoned master of the game, though his is a facade of a laidback, reluctant person. It is unlikely that he will exhibit his victory. Party's faction leader H D Deve Gowda had to suffer a loss of face, having started the whole thing on a ego trip.
