No apologies, please
United States President Bill Clinton agreed to pay $850,000 to Paula Jones to settle her sexual harassment case against him. The settlement, which was announced by Jones's lawyers, contained no mention of any apology by Clinton or any formal acknowledgement of Jones's allegation that Clinton propositioned her in an Arkansas hotel room when he was still governor of the state.

Bangla oppn threatens more stirs; economy reels
Bangladesh opposition parties, campaigning to unseat Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajed, on Saturday ignored calls to find an alternative to costly strikes and warned of more stoppages. The seven-party opposition alliance, lead by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), also rejected a proposal that if it put a moratorium on strikes the ruling Awami League would do the same if it loses the next election.
