The Archbishop has urged community members to organise a rally or stage a dharna in the diocese as part of the protest and submit a memorandum to the chief minister, the governor, the district head, members of Parliament and Legislative Assembly and revenue officers of their respective areas, asking them to protect minority rights and uphold the Constitution.
While schools, colleges and other institutions run by Churches have been asked to remain closed on the day, hospital and essential services have been exempted from the strike. However, employees serving there will wear black badges as a mark of protest.
Christians working in private and government institutions have also been asked to take leave on December 4.
