Naveen cracks down, suspends rebel MPs
The crisis in the Biju Janata Dal deepened today when its president Naveen Patnaik, in a swift preemptive move, suspended two MPs-Tathagata Satpathy and Pravat Samantaray-from the party for their ``anti-party activities.''

TN govt to sue Jayalalitha
The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) Government in Tamil Nadu said that the State Electricity Board (TNEB) would sue All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) general secretary J Jayalalitha for defamation.
