The Congress on Friday staked claim to form government in Goa after a mid-night political coup in which four of the ruling Goa Rajiv Congress (GRC) legislators and an independent joined its ranks, reducing the Wilfred D' Souza government to a minority.
Vajpayee to hold CMs' meet to discuss price rise
Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee has convened a chief ministers' meeting on November 27 "to review the price situation and to discuss the measures taken to combat the sudden price rise,'' according to Union Defence Minister George Fernandes.
