NASHIK, Nov 25: A 12-year-old boy from Manmad took his admiration for the television character, Shaktiman, to dangerous heights when he leaped off a temple dome in an attempt to emulate his hero.Prashant Maruti Kasar, a Class 7 student, who regularly watches the serial aired on Doordarshan's national channel, thought he could launch himself from a height and soar across the sky like the TV character with extraordinary powers.
He clambered up the dome of a Hanuman temple, stretched out his arms, cried ``Shaktiman', Shaktiman!'' like the character in the serial, and jumped.He lost consciousness on hitting the ground and was taken to the hospital with head injuries.
