AHMEDABAD, Nov 25: In response to a call by Delhi-based United Christian Forum for Human Rights, Church leaders here have decided to observe December 4 as National Protest Day and remind the State Government of obligations to safeguard the rights of minorities, particularly Christians.The leaders have decided that December 4 would be a day of prayer and fasting for all Christians and all schools, colleges and other institutions run or managed by them will remain closed. Hospitals and other essential services will remain open, but employees will wear black badges.
According to the decision, all Christians working in other establishments are expected to take leave on that day and all the churches will be kept open for special prayers from 6 to 10 am.
