Anand wins rapid tourney in IsraelCHENNAI: World No 2 Grandmaster, V Anand, has won the Wydra Memorial Rapid Tournament held in Israel from recently. The tournament ended dramatically with Anand and Polish GM Judith Polgar sharing the top spot with 11.5 points from 14 games. Anand's win against Judith with the white pieces took him ahead in the tiebreak, thus clinching the title.
Karnataka women with two golds, three silvers and three bronze finished with 26 points to push Manipur into second place. CISF men with five golds logged 35 points and Karnataka with 17 points (two golds and three bronze) finished runners up.
