Talking to mediapersons here today, he demanded a CBI inquiry into the "murky deals" and announced that he would file a public interest litigation in the High Court. He alleged that most properties were sold to Akali ministers or MLAs. Dimpa said the Badal government was planning to enhance power tariff by 20 per cent and that the implementation of one per cent cess on consumer items had only been temporarily stayed due to the by-election.

The Youth Congress chief said the Badal government did not have the money to contribute its share in the Bathinda refinery project. He said six months had passed since the panchayat elections but the elected sarpanches had not been given charge of office. He said even the sarpanches backed by Akalis had not taken charge.
