VADODARA, Dec 1: The Baroda Kisan Credit Card (BKCC) was recently launched in Central Gujarat at Matar, Kheda district, by Bank of Baroda Director P N Devarajan in the presence of General Manager, Central Gujarat zone, S N Lele.Farmers, in 16 centres across the country, availing this facility will now have access to agricultural inputs like fertilisers, pesticides and seeds on credit from member establishments enrolled by the bank. The BKCC will be issued without any service charge.
Talking on the occasion, Lele said that the BoB was the first nationalised bank to introduce the Multi-Service Area approach and Gramin Vikas Kendras for the betterment of the rural and urban poor more than two decades ago. The BKCC now offered one more innovative product for the use of Indian farmers, he added.
