Sapan's ton in Collage win
A brilliant 105 in 120 balls by former Punjab and Services all-rounder Sapan Chopra helped Collage Group beat Kranti Star by seven wickets in the eighth Davinder Singh memorial tournament for Tara Devi Mathur Trophy at Jamia grounds. In another match, D S Group beat Shanti Sports Club by eight wickets.

Brief Scores: Shanti Sports Club: 186 (Pitamber Dutt 41, Aditya Gadia 38, Sushil Kumar 30, Devender Singh Pawar 5 for 37). D S Group: 189 for 2 (Lalit Saini 73 not out, Devender Singh Pawar 60 not out, Sarvesh Gupta 44); Kranti Star: 175 for 6 (Bantoo Singh 74, D Bisht 64). Collage Group: 177 for 3 (Sapan Chopra 105).

Khanna strikes
Deadly bowling by Rajesh Khanna (4 for 18) enabled Mayur Club beat Blue India by eight runs in the semifinal of Triangular Series being played at Rohini sports complex.

Brief Scores: Mayur Club: 208 for 5 in 35 overs (Sanjeev Gupta 42, Mandeep 41 not out, Atil Sharma 33, Ankur Sharma 23). Blue India: 196 for 9 in 35 overs (Sanjay 50, Ashu 51, rajesh Khanna 4 for 18, Vinod 2 for 38).

PNB sports meet
East UP and North Zone entered the cricket quarter-finals in the 16th PNB inter-zonal sports meet. East UP beat MP by 18 runs while North Zone defeated Rajasthan by eight wickets. In football, West UP beat Rajasthan 6-1 to enter the quarter-finals while in kabaddi West UP beat Bihar by 21 points to enter the semi-finals.

Match ends in tie
The pool D match in the fifth Cyber Media tournament, between SGS-Thomson and Oracle ended in a tie with both teams scoring 165 runs in their stipulated 25 overs.

Brief Scores: Cyber Media: 176 for 7 (Himanshu 77, Sanjiv 2 for 24) lost to Microsoft: 181 for 6 (Rajeev 61, Sanjiv 34) by four wickets. SGS-Thomson: 165 for 9 (Sabyasachi 45, Chander 36, Ashish 31, Yashi 2 for 24, Shiv 2 for 30) tied with Oracle: 165 for 6 (Neeraj 43, Shiv 42, Krishna 20, Sanjay 3 for 14, Ashish 2 for 26).

Verma shines
Unbeaten knocks by Ravi Verma (72) and Anuj Mehra (51) helped HTA beat Montage by nine wickets in the Media Transasia Cup.

Brief Scores: Montage: 157 for 4 (D Krishnan 49, Vikas 39, Sanjay Bali 2 for 12) HTA: 159 for 1 (Ravi Verma 72 not out, Anuj Mehra 51 not out); Mudra: 129 (Sanjay 46, Gautam 3 for 20) lost to Q and M: 130 for 7 (Sriram 41, Gautam 31, Arun Mahajan 3 for 13).
