NEW DELHI, Dec 2: Nirupama Vaidyanathan, playing against a lower-ranked Carolina Jagienak, turned around what could have been a rather embarrassing day in the Flash Sports $75,000 ITF Challenger at the DTA hard courts today.Nirupama sent Carolina back 0-6, 6-1, 6-3 to set up a quarter-final clash with Miriam Schnitzer of Germany, ranked No 140. The splendid run of two other Indians, Manisha Malhotra and Sai Jayalakshmy, ended today in contrasting fashion. While Manisha fell to Amanda Hopmans in easy, straight sets, Sai was unlucky not to have pulled off her second upset win.
