SAP award
Essar Steel has been awarded SAP (systems, applications, production) Star award for the year 1998. The award by SAP ASIA PACIFIC, was presented to Executive Vice-President of ESSAR P R Dhariwal by Dr Peter Zenke, SAP chairman at a function in Taj, Mumbai on November 18.

Letter to CM
BJP MLA (North) Dheerubhai Gajera has expressed serious concern at the deteriorating law and order situation in the city. In a letter to Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel, Gajera said mushrooming video parlours, gambling dens, had adversely affected the city's environment. A sense of insecurity has gripped the city residents after the murder of two school girls, he said, demanding immediate ban on video parlours and gambling.

Blood camp
The city units of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad will hold a blood donation camp on Sunday at Begampura. Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Dr Praveen Togadia had directed Bajrang Dal and Parishad units of the state to organise blood donation camps on December 6.

Diploma course
