Defending champions Uttar Pradesh are in line for a double in the 21st sub-junior National volleyball championship today. UP took their appointed places in contrasting styles beating Tamil Nadu in boys and girls sections respectively in the semi-final matches. The boys team faced stiff opposition from before prevailing 15-10, 12-15, 17-16, 15-3.

India leave
The fifteen-member Indian team led by Mohammed Azharuddin left here today by an early morning flight to Hong Kong enroute New Zealand with high hopes of recording the all-too-rare Test series win abroad.
