HYDERABAD, Dec 7: At least 100 companies out of 842 listed on Hyderabad Stock Exchange (HSE) are found missing, according to a study conducted by the exchange following a directive from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).According to a senior HSE official, the bourse has initiated detailed investigations to trace these companies and the reasons for their disappearance all these years.
According to sources, SEBI officials are already in Hyderabad to verify the HSE findings about these missing companies and are also expected to visit the premises of the companies.
Most of the companies from acqua, financial services, telecom sector and information technology companies figured in the list. The list included: Kamakshi Housing, KPR Tele, Zed Telecom, Canara Credit, Kanyaka Investments, Sree Lakshmi Engg, Acma Flora, Aditya Alcolides, Aditya Spinning, Amarawati Chemicals, OMC Computers, Fishing Falcon, Somken Marine, Stellar Exports, VIF Airways.
