Paris treaty comes into force
The provisions of the Paris Convention for protection of Industrial Property Rights and Patent Cooperation Treat (PCT) came into effect from Monday. Now it will be possible for applicants to file their international applications with the patent office from today, industry minister Sikander Bakht said.
IT sleuths raid Sun Pharma
The Income Tax department sleuths on Monday conducted raids on 34 premises of Sun Pharmaceuticals, a BSE listed company. The raids covered Mumbai, Delhi, Baroda, Ahmedabad, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli.
IA, AI decide to merge -- in 3 years
The joint board of directors of Indian Airlines and Air India has accepted consultancy firm A F Ferguson & Co's report suggesting a three-year time frame for the merger of the two airlines. The merger is proposed to be implemented in a phased manner beginning with the merger of various departments such as operations and engineering of both the airlines.
