Transfer all Babri cases to Apex Court, says Moopanar

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
CHENNAI, DEC 12: Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) today demanded that all cases related to the Babri Masjid demolition issue which are being argued in different courts, be transferred to the Supreme Court.

In a statement, TMC president G.K. Moopanar said after such a transfer, all parties to the dispute should agree to abide by the Supreme Court verdict. The BJP-led government should assure the nation that the court directive will be implemented in toto and in the spirit in which the court delivered it.

It was not enough on the Prime Minister's part to say that the contentious issue will be resolved through talks, Moopanar argued, adding that the parties to the dispute as well as the Govt should co-operate with the Supreme Court.
