Emphatic victory for Dolour's

DECEMBER 13: Dolour's United scored a convincing 4-2 victory over Village Amboli B in the BHA Fourth Division hockey league, sponsored by Punjab National Bank, at the Naigaum Police ground today.

Village Amboli took the lead through Craig Murzello. But it was short-lived as Selwyn D'Mello restored parity for Dolour's through a penalty-corner conversion. Just before the breather, Philip Duarte made it 2-1 for Dolour's.After the change of ends, Village Amboli's Bosco Pereira scored a field goal to level terms in the 35th minute. Dolour's once again wrested lead in the 53rd minute as Philip Duarte struck once again. Then Allwyn Lasarado put the issue beyond doubt for his team when he made it 4-2 in the 55th minute.Blue Dragon trounced MLWB (Naigaum) 4-0 after leading 3-0 at the breather.

Kurush Paghdhiwala struck thrice. Savio D'Sa was the other goal-getter.

Fr Agnel champs
FR Agnel Gymkhana drubbed Rashtriya Chemical and Fertilizers 3-0 to emerge champions in the second Fr C Rodrigues TrophyInvitational football tournament at the Fr Agnel (Vashi) ground.

Striker Seby Andrews put Agnel ahead in the 13th minute, scoring off a rebound.

Marshall Eusebio Mascarenhas increased the lead with a 25-yard shot to make it 2-0 at the breather. Douzy Godinho sealed the victory for Fr Agnel when he made the most of an Agnelo Gomes cross.

Earlier, in an exhibition game, the Fr Agnel's women's team defeated Orlem 2-1.

Ryan International up
RYAN International beat BMC 2-1 in the New India Assurance WIFA Second Division football league at the Cooperage.

Manjeet Singh and Kishore Biswas scored for Ryan International and Chiman Waghela reduced the margin.

Milan Sports Club scored a 2-0 triumph over Young Star (Bandra). Muzafar Ansari and Tarique Ansari were the goal-getters.
