Ex-AIR director takes charge of IGNOU unit

New Delhi, December 13: Dr R. Sreedher has taken over as director, Electronic Media Production Centre (EMPC), an autonomous body of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).He was earlier working with the All India Radio (AIR) as the director of its Bhopal centre. Sreedher has done his Ph.D. in 1976 in organic chemistry. He has published two books, translated a number of books in Tamil and also number of research papers in reputed journals. Sreedher has a special interest in science communication as well as development communication. He is a recipient of the national award for science popularisation through media in 1991.
