The working of the two Houses was carried on with the help of generators. Working in news agencies and newspapers was also severely affected. Even the All India Radio could not broadcast their 1450 hours bulletin today.

The power failure also affected the working of four power projects in Madhya Pradesh here, causing severe disruption in electricity supply. The other states affected bythe power failure included Gujarat and Goa.
