MUMBAI, Dec 16: Officers of the Narcotics Cell seized three kgs of heroin valued at Rs 3 crore in the international market from an African national at Sahar airport this morning.Aboubacar Sow, a national of the Republic of Guinea, was intercepted just as he was about to board the Emirates flight to Dubai. A search of his luggage yielded the narcotic concealed in 1250 polythene packets inside Vicks inhalers kept in 25 boxes.
Sow informed Customs officers that he had arrived in India in November 1997 to start a garments business. Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Usha Iyer remanded him to judicial custody up to December 18.
