In the first case, nearly 4 kg of gold, some silver and Rs 40,000 in cash -- amounting to between Rs 15-20 lakh -- were stolen from Raj Jewellers in Rani Bagh, Saraswati Vihar early this morning. At around 2 a.m., a police patrol noticed a truck parked outside the store. There were three men sitting near it. According to the police, the men later broke into the shop and made off with the jewels and cash. The second incident took place in Keshavpuram. One Naresh and his associate Ajit had withdrawn Rs 8 lakh from the bank and another Rs 2 lakh from a factory and were on their way to make a payment. They were travelling on a scooter, when they were stopped by four men in a car. The men threatened them with revolvers and stole the bag with the cash.
