Trade unions flay US strikes

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
CHANDIGARH Dec 18: An effigy of Bill Clinton was burnt down by the employees of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Central government, banking and insurance sector in response to the US and Britain air attack on Iraq yesterday. The call to this effect was given by Trade Union Council of Chandigarh.

The rally was addressed by the leaders of the Trade Union namely Raghbir Singh Sandhu, president of the Trade Union Council, Sajjan Singh, leader of Joint Action Committee, Sant Singh, general secretary U.T. Federation Chandigarh, Dharamjit Singh, general secretary, PSSF, and Uma Kant Tiwari, Mohan Singh, leaders of civil secretariat employees.

The attack has also been condemned by the Anjuman Aqwaam-ul-Muslameen Alhind of Chandigarh. Through a release the body flayed silence of the Security Council on the matter. His act of America and Britain.
