CBSE national meets in Delhi

NEW DELHI, December 18: The national meets in volleyball and table tennis events of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) competitive sports programme for 1998-99 will be held at Bal Bharati Public School, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Road, and Manavsthali Public School (New Rajinder Nagar), respectively.

While the volleyball event will be held from January 1 to 4, table tennis competition will be conducted during December 31-January 5. Briefing newsmen, Dr G P Gautam, OSD Sports, CBSE, revealed that about 100 teams, including one from Dubai and Oman, will participate in table tennis. He added that the CBSE proposed to expand the sports activity by enhancing its overage to more disciplines in the years to come.
