Ten injured in mishap
Ten people were injured in two separate cases of road accidents, after two buses collided with trees on Tuesday morning, the police said. According to the police, a Surat-bound luxury bus (GJ-5-U-9841) coming from Junagarh hit a tree near Lalbaugh railway crossing at 4 am. Though passengers escaped uninjured, the driver, Babubhai, sustained serious injuries. In another incident, nine people travelling in a ST bus were injured when the vehicle dashed against a tree near Sardar Estate petrol pump on Ajwa Road around 10 am, the police said. The bus was coming from Viara village in Waghodia taluka to Vadodara. All the injured have been admitted to SSG hospital.

One murdered
One Bhimsinh Rajwa Naik, a resident of Ukkalwath village, under Chhotaudepur taluka, was murdered by Rania Viliabhai Nayak and three other of the same village on Monday, the police said. According to the Chhotaudepur police, the accused suspected one Ramsinh Rajwabhai Naik of having an illicit relationship with his wife. But when Bhimsinh tried to intervene when Rania was assaulting Ramsinh, the accused and three others shot Bhimsinh with an arrow, killing him on the spot. The Chhotaudepur police have registered a case of murder against the four and are investigating.

IMFL seized
The city police on Monday night seized a Maruti car (GJ-6-A-1124) from near Bajwa marketing yard under Jawaharnagar police station and recovered 816 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth Rs 20,000. However, the police failed to arrest the occupants of the car.
