CHANDIGARH, Dec 22: A cyclist was killed after he was hit by a truck in Manimajra here today.The deceased has been identified as Shantinagar colony resident Shekhar, who is believed to be in his early thirties. According to police sources, the driver fled leaving the truck on the spot. Police have impounded the vehicle.
Shekhar died on the way to the hospital, police added. The body has been sent for post mortem.
